OnPoint Notary Solutions provides remote online notarization services performed by a notary public commissioned in the Commonwealth of Virginia, using a compliant audio-video RON platform. Services include, but are not limited to, notarization of powers of attorney, aircraft and vessel bills of sale, and fund subscription documents.
OnPoint does not draft documents, review documents for legal sufficiency or provide legal advice. You are responsible for ensuring your document is properly prepared before your session. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney.
You must be able to verify your identity through the methods required by our notarization platform and Virginia law. A notarial act may be declined if identity cannot be verified or if the notary has reason to believe a signer is not acting knowingly or voluntarily.
Sessions are offered within OnPoint's published availability. We are not obligated to perform a notarial act outside that availability and reserve the right to refer you to another notary when we are unavailable.
Fees for each service are disclosed before booking. Payment is due at the time of booking unless a separate written agreement, for example, a retainer or invoice arrangement, is in place with a business client. Fees are generally non-refundable once a session has been scheduled, except where required by law.
Sessions cancelled with less than the notice period stated at booking, and signer no-shows, may be billed in full.
Except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, OnPoint's total liability for any claim arising from a session is limited to the fees paid for that session. OnPoint is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
OnPoint Notary Solutions' notaries are commissioned in the Commonwealth of Virginia and authorized to perform in-person and remote online notarial acts in accordance with Virginia law. We are not attorneys, financial advisors, tax professionals, or immigration consultants. We do not draft, prepare, or review documents for legal sufficiency, provide legal, financial, or tax advice, or determine a document's legality, enforceability, or financial impact.
Our role is limited to verifying the identity of signers and performing the requested notarial act. We do not verify the truth, accuracy or completeness of a document's content. Virginia law prohibits notaries from certifying copies of vital records (birth, death, marriage) and court-issued documents, and prohibits remote notarization of last wills and testaments.
By using our services, you acknowledge that notarization, including remote online notarization, is not a substitute for legal advice and that you are solely responsible for the content, purpose, and use of your documents. OnPoint Notary Solutions is not liable for any consequences arising from a document's content or its subsequent use. If you need guidance on your documents, consult a licensed attorney, accountant, or other qualified professional.
